Social Housing Grant Funded Insulation Scheme

As Managing Agents we will see the scheme through from beginning to end.

Our commitments are as follows:

Tendering

We undertake a tendering process which takes account of Contractors Installing Capability, Quality of Works including Customer Care, Financial Resources and the ability to conform to agreed programmes.

This procedure invites a number of contractors to submit prices for works. The prices are judged on a model village, with mixed house types and measures. When the tenders have been analysed a contractor is selected.

Managing The Scheme Method Statement

  • RSL provides a list of properties to be surveyed
  • OE creates a surveying schedule of the addresses and sends to an appointed Contractor
  • OE provides the RSL with a standard letter for them to forward to their tenants informing them that we will be contacting them to survey their homes
  • Tenants receive a letter informing them of the arranged date, surveyors name and contact number should this not be convenient
  • Completed surveys are put into a Programme of Works and then submitted to several programme funders to obtain the best grant
  • When we have received the best grant the Programme of Works and the completed Bid Form are sent to the RSL for approval and signing
  • The RSL sends completed Bid Forms to the fund provider and gives us the Order to Proceed with the Works.
  • An installation schedule is produced and sent to all groups within the RSL that are involved with the project. Tenants are informed of the measures to be installed in their property and an installation date
  • OE monitor the schemes progress with site visits and contractor progress reports
  • When the Contract is completed OE inspect a minimum of 10% of the Works for Quality and Customer Satisfaction
  • Finally we provide the information that is required by the fund supplier and the RSL,
including a spreadsheet of the Installed Works, a summary of the results of the
Quality/Customer Satisfaction surveys and the Practical Completion Certificate
