Whilst it is clear that in order to achieve national targets, loft and cavity wall measures are essential in the short term - with eco-upgrades needing to replace these on scale as we move towards 2012 - there is however strong merit in delivering easy to install measures such as:
These measures can generate significant Carbon savings, but the key to their use is often household engagement and facilitation of energy advice, which can lead to the installation of more significant measures and help sustain long term awareness.
We are currently working on a number of programmes to establish a benchmarked package that can be effectively replicated to add value to our area-based programmes.
